Excuse me for a second, I’ve gotta catch my breath!
I just completed one of Mikey’s Workout Finishers. It’s about 4:30 pm in North Carolina as I write this and I’ve been using these Finishers a lot lately in the evening.
They’re quick and fun to do, but the main reason I use them is because they reduce my food cravings and also reduce my appetite in the evenings.
At first, I just thought it was a coincidence that it happened. Then a study published showed that intense exercise decreased levels of ghrelin, a hormone that stimulates appetite, while raising levels of peptide YY, which causes your appetite to be suppressed.
The outcome is awesome appetite suppression.
Now Mike is the expert when it comes to great metabolic workouts that are really going to speed up fat loss, so I focus on helping people not struggle with their diet. If you reduce cravings for junk food and suppress your appetite in the evening, you’re going to see AWESOME fat loss results.
One of the keys to sticking to your diet is to make sure that your cravings for “junk” food are kept to a minimum.
Here are a few tips that will help suppress your appetite and reduce food cravings.
- Use Intense Exercise (such as Mikey’s Workout Finishers) before the times of the day you struggle with food cravings (typically this is in the evening for most people) – follow this up with at least 30 grams of high quality protein (chicken, fish, whey/casein protein blend)
- Make sure your meals are higher in protein. Protein will help suppress your appetite and help you recover from the workouts. It also boosts your metabolic rate.
- Stay away from the PANCAKES (ha!, just kidding Mikey.) Actually having your favorite food occasionally will help with dieting. Totally eliminating your favorite foods will make your diet unbearable. Sure, you can probably eliminate it for a month or so without feeling too deprived, but imagine NEVER eating it again! Many people stop losing weight because they feel deprived of eating their favorite foods. They end up stopping the diet and resort back to their “normal” diet.
These are just a few tips to help you kick your fat loss into high gear without having the pain and suffering of most programs. If your diet and exercise program isn’t sustainable, your stubborn belly fat will be difficult to lose!
These are just a few tips from the NEW Appetite Control Blueprint that will help you lose fat WITHOUT the crazy evening food cravings.
